Not unlike the way money is invested in through the stock market, IVCA sometimes makes the same type of investment in companies throughout Illinois by making an equity investment. This program is different from our loan program in the way that we actually become a co-owner of your business. Rather than making scheduled payments to us on a monthly basis, there would be a negotiated buy-out agreement where in time you would buy back our portion of your business. We take a passive position in the majority of equity investments that we make, leaving you at the helm of your business.
