Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) loans are available to for-profit entities that meet SBA size guidelines. Small proprietorships, partnerships, subchapter S corporations or regular corporations are eligible for this program. Financial Institutions are not eligible.

Businesses who accept CSBG funds are required to create one full-time job (37.5 hours a week) or two part-time jobs for each $15,000 (or any portion thereof) borrowed. These jobs must be created in the first two-years of the loan. Employment records may be required at time of loan closing to establish that no cuts were made by the business in anticipation of the loan.
